This interesting note is an advertising piece for B.A. Kelleher of Marshall, MI. This type of advertising first done on genuine Confederate notes and then on facsimile notes and was popular in the late 19th and early 20th century. The note says “This is not Bankable Money, but if you care to Save Money just buy / Shoes and Rubbers of / B.A. Kelleher, The Feet Fitter Marshall, Mich.
