Lucilla was the daughter of Marcus Aurelius and the wife of his co-emperor Lucius Verus. She was the sister of Commodus. She was portrayed in the Movie Gladiator (2000) by Connie Nielson. In real life, she was caught up in a conspiracy to overthrow Commodus in AD 182. She was banished to Capri for a time and executed later. This is a well balanced coin with an attractive portrait and nice surfaces. S-5507.
