Orbiana was the wife of Severus Alexander. They were married in AD225 and all of her coinage seems to have been issued on the occasion of their wedding. Alexander’s mother, Julia Mamea grew suspicious of Orbiana’s ambitions and she was subsequently exiled to North Africa in AD 227.
All the coinage of Orbiana is quite scarce.
